We provide professional mental health counseling tailored to support your individual needs with precision and compassion. Our therapeutic services are rooted in evidence-based approaches and clinical expertise, with a focus on helping you gain clarity, develop resilience, and experience meaningful change.
The practice offers professional counseling services tailored to individuals residing in Alabama. While we're actively pursuing licensure in additional states, our current focus is on serving the residents of Alabama only.

The Counseling Style
This is not just “talk therapy.” It’s emotional surgery—with care, caution, and skill. We explore, uncover, and heal in layers, based on your readiness and capacity. Some sessions will be tender, others clarifying. All are purposeful.
All Is Well's therapy style is:
-
Focused: We use time intentionally—sessions are structured to avoid circling or stagnation.
-
Warm but direct: I provide a steady presence, but I won’t withhold truth when it’s needed.
-
Metaphoric: Insight is often found in language that shifts perspective, not just explains content.
-
Dynamic: I adjust between insight-based exploration and skill-building depending on your needs that week.
-
Grounded in precision: We don’t flood—we pace. We don’t guess—we observe and refine. That way, you heal and grow accurately.
Wait...Why use metaphors in therapy?
We often use metaphor and analogy in our work because sometimes the heart understands what the mind resists. A well-placed metaphor can bypass your defenses and allow clarity to emerge.
These metaphors are not just clever phrases. They’re precision tools that help unlock stuck narratives and create a shift in how you relate to your own inner world.
🔍 Example Metaphor: The Room with Locked Drawers
Imagine your feelings of your childhood as a large room with dozens of drawers. Some are open and organized—you go into them often to reflect and admire. Others are jammed shut, dusty, locked, or overflowing with loose papers and forgotten things. These drawers hold your fears, your early memories, your unspoken grief.
In therapy, we don’t barge into every drawer all at once. We approach each drawer with curiosity, not force.
Sometimes we sit near a drawer just to understand why it’s locked. Other times we open it together, slowly, taking out only what you’re ready to look at. I hold the space while you decide what stays, what’s refiled, and what no longer belongs.
This isn’t chaos—it’s restoration. It’s reclaiming the architecture of your own emotional space from within.

Theoretical Orientation & Clinical Framework
I draw from a specified combination of the following evidence-based approaches, selected and integrated based on your needs:
- Client-Centered Therapy - the therapeutic center of all my work; with unconditional positive regard, deep empathy, and presence.
-
Psychodynamic Therapy – to explore core wounds, unconscious patterns, and formative experiences
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – for restructuring thoughts, behaviors, and self-perception
-
Attachment-Based Therapy – to heal relational trauma and build secure internal models
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-Informed Work – for working with protective parts, inner child wounds, and internal conflicts
- Gestalt Therapy - to bring awareness to the present moment and stay emotionally connected
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) - to identify strengths, clarity and vision in order to produce action
-
Narrative Therapy – to help you reshape and reclaim your story
-
Existential Therapy – to explore meaning, identity, and values
- Culturally Diverse and Inclusive Counseling - to recognize, affirm, and support cultural, racial, generational, and social context
-
Faith-Based Counseling – for clients seeking spiritual insight as part of their healing
Our work may evolve as you do—some phases will involve insight and exploration, others action and restructuring. What stays consistent is our clarity of purpose and clinical intention every step of the way.

The Process: From Registration to First Session
We’ve designed our onboarding to be smooth, simple, and stress-free.
1. Client Registration Form
Once you're ready to begin, you’ll complete a secure Client Registration Form online. This gathers key information to ensure we understand your needs and can match you with the appropriate level of care. All submissions are HIPAA-compliant and reviewed promptly.
2. Scheduling Your First Session
After your Client Registration Form is submitted, you’ll receive a link from both Headway and SimplePractice to finalize your profile, payment methods, and practice forms in order to schedule your first session—either in-person or virtual—at a time that works for you. Confirmation and appointment reminders will be sent to your email and text messages or SMS.
3. Session Day: A Streamlined Experience

-
There are no payment interruptions.

Whether you're just getting started or returning for ongoing care, we are honored to be part of your journey.
Good Faith Estimate
In accordance with the No Surprises Act and part of my commitment to transparency and ethical care, I provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to all clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance. This estimate outlines the anticipated cost of services, based on your unique treatment goals and the frequency of sessions we agree upon. Whether you are receiving individual therapy, trauma-focused care, or professional consultation, you have the right to understand the financial investment involved in advance—without any hidden or surprise fees.
The Good Faith Estimate is not a bill, but rather a projection intended to help you make informed decisions about your care. While actual costs may vary depending on how your therapy or consultation evolves, the GFE allows you to see a clear range of what your services may cost over time. You may request a copy of your estimate at any point, and if actual charges ever exceed the estimate by more than $400, you have the right to initiate a formal dispute through the Department of Health and Human Services.
